Hey fellas! Welcome to . In this article I am going to show you How to change hosts file in Windows 10. Whenever you are going to install any cracked software , you may need to change the hosts file. Since, administrator access is needed to make changes to hosts file you may find it a little difficult to add items to it. Therefore, this post is going to prove helpful on the matter.

Hosts file is located in C:WindowsSystem32driversetc. You have to simply follow the procedures given below to make changes to the hosts file.

Procedures to change hosts file in Windows 10:

1: Go to the location C:WindowsSystem32driversetc copy the hosts file and paste it to Desktop or wherever you find easy.

2: Hit the windows button, type Wordpad and run it as administrator as shown in image below.

3: After you run Wordpad, click on file, hit open or you can just hit ctrl+o. After that, select the hosts file you had copied before.

4. Add the required text and simply make the changes you wish to and save it giving a new name. Something like text1.

5. After you save it, you will see a file named text1.txt has been saved in your Desktop. Rename it as hosts and remove .txt extension. It is very important to remove .txt. If you don’t see the extension just go to this PC, hit the view option and checkmark File names extension.

6. Copy the hosts file you’ve created and copy it to the path C:WindowsSystem32driversetc which is simply the path explained before. Paste it there and click continue on the popup.
